Portfolios from Nature’s Best Photographers
PETER CAIRNS of Kingussie, Scotland, was the Grand Prize Winner of the 2010 Windland Smith Rice International Awards with his winning image of an osprey diving into the water after a fish, taken in Kangasala, Finland. The image is now on display in the Awards Exhibition at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History as a large-format 5.5′ x 3.5′ print. Aportfolio of his images and the story of his involvement in the Wild Wonders of Europe project was published in our 2011 Spring/Summer edition of Nature’s Best Photography magazine (see below).
